What information must be on my California pay stub?

California pay stubs must show: gross wages earned, total hours worked, all deductions, net wages, pay period dates, employee name and last 4 digits of SSN, employer name and address, all piece-rate or commission rates, and applicable hourly rates. Violations can result in penalties up to $4,000 per employee.
