What is California Paid Family Leave?

Answer

California Paid Family Leave (PFL) provides up to 8 weeks of partial wage replacement (60-70% of wages) for employees who need to bond with a new child, care for a seriously ill family member, or assist a family member during a qualifying military exigency. PFL is funded through SDI payroll deductions and is separate from the job protection provided by CFRA.
